Job Description

Team

Raisin is looking for a highly motivated Team Lead Accounting to join our global Accounting and Finance team with a main focus on our parent entity Raisin GmbH and its German subsidiaries. The position reports to the Finance Director and will involve frequent interaction and coordination with colleagues from other teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading the accounting team of the parent entity Raisin GmbH both professionally and disciplinarily.
  • Managing the full set of accounting books and related accounting affairs under Local GAAP (German Commercial Code).
  • Owning the day-to-day aspects of the business s accounting and reporting functions for Raisin GmbH and its subsidiaries.
  • Overseeing all activities of the accounting department and supervision and management of general accounting activities, analyses, and the maintenance of effective internal controls while ensuring statutory compliance in all accounting initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and reconciliations together with the team - responsible for ensuring month end close within prescribed timeframes (currently Closing of month at 10 workdays).Collaborate closely with Controlling to ensure a complete and accurate close.
  • Ensuring timely preparation and filing of country specific VAT returns and compliance with VAT regulations while closely collaborating with our third party tax consultancy.Liaising with external business partners - Banks, Tax Advisors, Auditors, Tax and other authorities.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements with the support of our third party tax consultancy, ensuring accounts are correctly reflected and in line with reporting standards.
  • Coordination of timely preparation annual corporation tax returns (Corporation Income Tax, Trade Tax, VAT); support any other tax compliance obligations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of mandatory reports as required by the respective authorities (e. g. Bundesbank, Intrastat, Amt f r Statistik).
  • Participating in various accounting system automation, compliance and ad-hoc projects.
  • Be responsible for the operativeness and best utilization of our systems (Oracle NetSuite, Spendesk, Travel Perk etc.).

Your Profile

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education.
  • Deep knowledge of German GAAP, IFRS is a plus.
  • Public accounting experience - Big4 or similar preferred.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities required; experience with ERP tools (i. e. Oracle NetSuite).
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while continuing to meet goals and deadlines for ongoing tasks.
  • Ability to continuously improve reporting processes and tools and manage projects to promote system improvements and efficiencies.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with and build productive working relationships across all organizational levels and departments.
  • German speaking, with a fluent English level is required.
