Key Responsibilities Include
- Evaluate and apply biogeochemical models for quantification of soil organic carbon and emission reductions in the context of specific projects or programs
- Establish and manage relevant data requirements
- Support consulting mandates with a focus on agriculture and SOC
- Support agricultural project and program development under various carbon standards
Our Young Professionals Program (YPP) is designed for the most talented and ambitious young professionals who have a university degree. At First Climate, YPPs are mentored by high-quality experts in our departments and gain unique insights into the intersection of corporate and public climate management, innovative technologies, and market-oriented climate action. YPP participants sign a one-year contract with an option to continue on a permanent basis upon successful completion.
Specific Requirements
- Master s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Agronomy, Biology, Data Science
or similar - Experience and skills in applying biogeochemical models
- Experience in model calibration, validation, and the relevant data science tools
- Basic understanding of agricultural climate change mitigation options, carbon credits and standards is an advantage
- Self-motivated individual, team player, entrepreneurial spirit, and the wish to work in the climate change market
- Fluent in English and German
