Backend Engineer (f/m/x)

Tasks

You actively shape your position, we want you to get involved and contribute ideas.

• You will be part of our engineering team and make an impact on the future development of our products and further web and mobile applications
• You are responsible for the backbone of our applications like the API
• You create a high-performant database infrastructure
• You ensure the highest engineering quality in terms of performance, testability and software architecture for millions of active users at time
• You work in a cross-functional team and combine your expertise with that of your team members to ensure rapid feature development, highest automation and of course a great product

Requirements

• Experience (3+years) in developing with Python and Cloud (AWS, GCP) managed services
• Experience with designing and implementing performant database schemas
• Experience writing and running database migrations in production environments
• Enjoy working together closely with DevOps, frontend developers, QA engineers and product people
• Are keen to receive and give feedback in pairing and code review sessions
• Have strong communication skills and a customer-driven mindset
• Communicate fluently in English
• Experience with the following technologies:

- Spring / Spring boot

- Microservices, the cloud, and scalable architectures

- AWS (ec2, lambda, SNS, SQS), a plus

- Kubernetes, a plus

• Elasticsearch, a big plus
