Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer

Active Training Consultants is GROWING! As a result, we are looking for a partner to contract with.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

• You are already an authorized OSHA outreach trainer for General Industry. (Having the Construction cert is a plus but not necessary at this time).


• You have at least two years of instruction experience teaching OSHA 10 and 30 for General Industry and issuing cards. (If you have less, you can still apply, but this is our ideal!)


• You are willing to work as an independent 1099 contractor.


• You have flexibility and are willing to work a flexible schedule on an as-needed basis to start without guaranteed hours. (Most months you will have at least two work days – big potential for more!)


• You have a sense of humor and know how to make a training session fun and interactive while getting your point across.


• You have a love for safety!


• You are willing and able to work and interact with all types of people without judgment.


• You are willing to travel anywhere in Michigan for our clients (most are in the Grand Rapids/Muskegon/Holland areas).


• You have some experience in safety audits and reports.


• You represent yourself in a professional manner.


• You have reliable transportation.


• You have three professional references specifically regarding your training skills.


• You can pass a background check.

This position is ideal for a retiree looking to stay in the industry or for someone with a part-time or night job who could fit training days into his/her schedule. (Most of the training sessions fall between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) Some business to business sales experience could also be a plus, as it could get you from both training and commissions. Pay is a contractual agreement to be discussed later in the process.
