Legal Transformation Specialist (m/f/d) – immediate start

At smartvokat, we assist clients in optimising their
legal service delivery processes powered by state-of-the-art digital process
management applications. We strive to be at the forefront of realising the
untapped potential of making digital transformation for Legal and Compliance
services and processes. As a member of smartvokat, you ll work in a
multi-disciplinary team applying a cross-disciplinary approach to legal,
compliance and regulatory processes.

You have gained first experience in legal innovation (e.g. alternative legal service models, legal design, etc.) or legal tech through internships, student initiatives or a first professional job. Exploring unchartered territory with clients and colleagues is part of your DNA. Combining legal content, people, and technology excites you.

As a geographically dispersed and virtual team, we are looking for team players with excellent communication skills and a passion for early-stage companies. You will contribute to building our advisory solution stack as we scale and help growing our client base. Your presence will make a difference to both our solutions portfolio and the company.

Tasks

How you can contribute:

Our primary advisory focus is on advising clients on
legal service delivery portfolios, in particular the underlying processes
and their digital enablement:

• We deliver end-to-end solutions from the conceptual
  phase of analysing services rendered, mapping legal service delivery processes to the actual technical implementation and maintenance of our two tech portfolios: smartvokat Workflows, our own software, and Legal Service Delivery, a module by the global software group ServiceNow.
• You will, together with senior team members, prepare and conduct workshops on legal operations topics to devise optimisation and digital transformation strategies and concepts, including process analysis and mapping.
• You will convert legal content (e.g., legal requirements, compliance policies) into new legal service delivery processes, together with stakeholders, and devise the corresponding process maps and frameworks.
• You will contribute to the subsequent implementation of ServiceNow's Legal Service Delivery module as the enabling technology (incl. assistance during User Acceptance Testing of the implemented solutions)

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• An affinity and at least a basic understanding of designing and optimising processes and technology for in-house Legal and/or Compliance departments.
• A legal degree or equivalent, ideally combined with an IT or business background/affinity.
• Fluent in English (compulsory) and German (preferred).
• You are based in Germany or the EU.
• Creativity and open mindset coupled with a hands-on attitude.
• A strong intercultural competence.
• Contribution of own ideas, accountability and a strong team player.
• Excellent communication and project management skills
