Position: Human Resources Administrator
Location: Magee MS, 39111
Duration: 2+ Months (Possible extension)
Summary:
This position is responsible for understanding and administering plan benefits enrollment procedures and administrative procedures to ensure that Team Members receive their benefits on an equitable basis. Benefits Counselors have a primary obligation to our Team Members to help them maximize their understanding so that they may appropriately utilize their benefits. Benefits Counselors will communicate and distribute plan information for health life disability and financial benefits plans by presenting these plans through Benefits Orientation meetings.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for assisting Team Members with enrollment into the benefit plans verification of all documentation for dependents and then entering the enrollments into SAP.
- Benefits Counselors are responsible for communicating the benefits continuation policy to Team Members requesting a leave of absence and determining and collecting insurance premium payments from Team Members during the continuation period. They are responsible for monitoring short-term disability eligibility and entering approved short-term disability compensation into the SAP system.
- Assist in gathering information for the insurance company to process long-term disability and life insurance claims.
- May also require to perform HR Clerk duties including entering new hire rehire termination and Team Member information changes into the appropriate systems as well as any other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Education beyond high school including less than two years of special training vocational school and or college courses preferred. 2 plus years experience. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills. Computer knowledge experience in the following programs: SAP Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Internet and Benefit Programs preferred. PowerPoint presentation skills are a plus. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Special Skills: Required to be HIPAA trained and certified; required to pass an SAP User test.
- Will receive additional education on the requirements of confidentiality and the privacy rights of all Team Members; must participate in training meetings and other classes as designated to increase expertise.
- Travel: 1-2 trips per year may be required.
- Benefits Training will be required to include successful completion of the program.
