Job Description

You are an inspiring team leader and motivated scientist with a strong interest in cancer biology and the discovery of innovative anti-cancer drugs? Then this position could be for you.

Tasks

  • Play a key role in identifying and validating new therapeutic targets in oncology and bring your expertise and technologies into the company s drug discovery and development process
  • Provide guidance to the team and are responsible for the planning, implementation and timely execution of cellular pharmacology- and biomarker-related activities (cell-based and in vivo) in the company
  • Play a key role in identifiying and validating new therapeutic targets in oncology and bring your expertise and technologies into the company s drug discovery and development process
  • Collaborate closely with the CSO and other functions within the company. Take the lead or contribute to partnerships with CROs
  • Ensure maintenance of all records of the team concerning experimental planning, data and analysis. Ensure safe laboratory practices are followed, including the use and disposal of chemicals and hazardous material

Requirements

  • PhD in Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or similar
  • Postdoc and 10 years' industry experience in Pharma or Biotech in preclinical drug discovery and Cellular Pharmacology
  • Proven team leader with extensive experience in people management
  • Experience with small molecule inhibitor programs additional experience with DNA Damage Response (DDR) proteins a strong plus. Experience in working with in vivo teams of cancer (e.g. CROs) and ability to interpret and analyze in vitro and in vivo results
  • Extensive experience with relevant experimental methods in cellular pharmacology, including assay development and in vitro/in vivo evaluation of compounds
  • First authorship in a relevant journal
  • Fluent English skills, written and spoken
