Senior/Lead .Net Backend Engineer (German speaker)

Retail Foundation is a startup that provides an all-in-one cloud solution for the e-commerce industry to capture, enrich, and distribute product content at scale. We use AI and workflow automation to help our customers improve their product information management. As a spin-off of a consulting firm, we already have a large e-commerce company as a customer.

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead .NET Backend Engineer (native German) to join our team and help us develop further our deep learning models for image processing and classification.

Tasks

As part of our team, you will:

• Lead the design and develop services for a large scalable system
• Write clean, safe, and reusable code while keeping performance in mind
• Work with Machine Learning team to integrate AI features
• Work together with colleagues in Germany and Vietnam

Requirements

• Qualification You have worked on multiple .NET/C# projects so far. Ideally using ASP.NET Core (Web API or Minimal API) or serverless e.g. using Azure Functions. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and services like (App Services, API Management, Functions, CosmosDB) are a big plus but not required.
• Experience You have worked with microservices and event or message-driven large scale architectures before. Prefer work experience in corporate environment
• Collaboration You are a team player and have worked in cross-functional teams before
• Skills you have experience with agile software development methods (e.g. Scrum, TDD)
• Optimization you are used to optimize code for performance, as we are dealing with larger datasets; and interested in new cloud technologies for further improvements
• Enthusiasm you are enthusiastic about the whole development cycle including CI/CD and cloud infrastructure
• Languages you are fluent in English and German as we are an international team
• You have work right in Germany or Europe
