Job Description
Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer to be part of their exciting journey to
build and extend their software development and testing infrastructure based on modern technologies.
Tasks:
- Act as a Thought Leader to maintain, design and implement DevOps frameworks and
automation for their Viewpoint product development. - Help teams in case of problems with the tools that support Infrastructure, CI, CD and CT
- Monitor environments and react quickly
- Provide self-service solution and automation of common infrastructure elements
- Support developer teams with deployment of our product
- Review, classify and evaluate defects and risks related to DevOps
- Ensure documentation integrity and quality
- Share knowledge and best practices, educate junior colleagues
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering
and Math) or min 2-3 years of relevant experience - Previous experience using DevOps related tools such as Git/GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, vSphere or their equivalents
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, toolsets and supporting infrastructure(Jenkins pipelines, Maven plugin, scheduler, Docker, shared libraries)
- Good knowledge of artifact repositories (Git, GitHub, Nexus and/or similar tools)
- Experience in virtualization (KVM, ESXi, Hyper-V )
- Experience in different scripting languages and configuration formats like Python, Bash, Powershell,JSON,
YAML - or their equivalents - Release engineering (InnoSetup), package managers e.g. Maven, NPM, Yarn
Nice to have:
- Cloud experience(AWS, Azure, GCP )
- Passionate about innovation and new software development technologies
- Clarity of thinking
- Proactively identifies, facilitates and eliminates obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication
- Able to work under minimal supervision and open to collaboration
