Senior PM needed to assist with the development of the State of Indiana Cybersecurity Plan, management of the project/Plan development including communications and reporting.
The State of Indiana, Indiana Office of Technology, is requesting assistance with the administrative aspects of the cybersecurity plan development. This will include the following:
1. Integration with the State of Indiana's Cybersecurity Plan working group. The working group is a smaller team that will handle the daily work of the Plan's development based on input to and direction from the Cybersecurity Planning Committee, the State's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
2. Coordinating the effective development of the Plan through:
Working with the working group to establish a development plan and project timeline considering all aspects of the Plan's development. This includes managing deliverables to the dates set by the working group and the ICPC, in the timeline.
Participation in and documentation of ICPC meetings as well as others required from the working group to assemble the Plan.
Assisting with the development of efficient processes and then managing those processes to ensure effective communications between all parties associated with the Plan's development. This includes coordinating meetings with the working group, the ICPC, CISO, and CIO.
A detailed understanding of the SLCGP's objectives and requirements.
Common project management duties including:
Plan, develop and refine the project/plan
Provide leadership, direction, and input on the team's direction
Monitor and manage progress, set deadlines, deliver regular reports, charts, etc. demonstrating status and metrics on key project components
Issue identification and solutions
Thoroughly communicate project information to all stakeholders
Report on PM costs to the project
Set expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
Evaluate project performance.
Environment
The candidate should be prepared to be on-site, as needed. Working remotely is expected to be a common occurrence but the ratio of on-site vs. remote work is also not predictable at this time. On-site work will be at the IOT offices on the 5th floor of Indiana Government Center North. Remote meetings throughout the state are also a possibility. If such meetings occur, they would be a day trip to a location within the state.
Project Management Experience
Required 3 Years
Experience managing, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling activities of small to large IT projects and teams

Strong understanding and experience of SDLC and IT governance methodologies, tools and approaches to successful project implementations

PMBOK project mgmt practices including cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, timeline estimation, resource management and change control

Strong leadership abilities

Experience creating and updating PMP templates and processes
Required
Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft products: Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
Required
Proven track record of project management successes

Excellent communication skills

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
