Position:
The Human Resources Generalistprovides support to the Human Resources team with a focus on benefit administration and payroll support within North, South, and Central America. This individual performs a variety of tasks and works under limited supervision. A moderate degree of creativity is needed and latitude is given to complete tasks and projects. The highest degree of confidentiality is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in benefit orientations, enrollments, claims processing and billing payments of insurance claims.
- Track benefit eligibilities: insurance, 401(k), PTO, Holiday
- Review monthly benefits invoices and submit for payment
- Work closely with Finance for journal entry preparation and input for benefits related accounts
- Review employee inputs of holiday/leave data into payroll system
- Update salary, status and benefit changes in all HR and payroll systems
- Assists with overseeing the maintenance of employee benefits records through on-line data input
- Assist with explaining and reviewing leave administration: FMLA, Maternity, Paternity, Short-term Disability, etc.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Assist the Benefits Administrator with projects as required
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for special projects as requested
- Follow up on employee queries in a timely manner
- Serve as a member of the HR team; perform duties necessary to ensure the teams projects/goals are completed
Requirements:
- Prior experiences with employee benefits in North, South, and Central America preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Flexibility and able to work in a fast pace environment with multiple priorities
- High level of accuracy in preparing and entering data with attention to detail
- Very effective organizational skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience
