Demand Gen.

This position will require some on site in NY, NY / $100 - $150k base + an equity component

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Demand Generation professinoal to lead the company s
demand-generation functions. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the implementation
of key marketing initiatives and special projects, creating demand, and supporting the execution
of our marketing/sales growth priorities. Your efforts will increase revenue and
associated deal pipeline (leads/opportunities/etc.).


The Demand Generation role will function as a hybrid of the following concepts:
- Revenue Special Forces for the marketing dept. (i.e. owner of special projects/initiatives)
- Balance of Marketing | Demand Generation | RevOps | Mktg. Ops (i.e. multi-channel resource)
This role is within the Marketing Department. You will report to the CMO/CEO and be a strategic
partner within the business, working cross-functionally with many company stakeholders. The
ideal candidate will not only have the technical skills to support their objectives, but also strong
interpersonal skills to be a collaborative team member along with various company
stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Execute a best-in-class Marketing function to help the company scale (w/ the goal of
increasing demand, revenue & deal pipeline (through leads/ product demos/ etc.)
- Manage core Demand Generation functions end-to-end (e.g. Performance & Growth
Marketing, ABM, Marketing Automation, Content Marketing, CRO etc.)
- Partner with the CMO on major initiatives including annual strategy, planning and
budgeting
- Identify, scope and manage cross-functional transformational programs to evolve our
marketing function and our impact
- Uncover areas within the business to drive performance improvements that unlock
productivity and accelerate execution
- Partner with the CMO and be the executive communications lead on content and
communications strategy, presentations, reports
- Lead a high-performance Demand Generation team. I.e. hire, manage, and cultivate
in-house talent in the future. (Initial role will be high-level individual contributor though).
- Manage external resources as-needed (agencies, contractors, partners, etc.)
- Manage marketing budgets (advertising/media, agencies, software/tools, etc.)
- Manage and scale ad accounts (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads,
etc.)
- Support RevOps function (i.e. implement marketing automation & ABM strategies)

- Partner closely with internal leaders and departments to drive revenue growth & pipeline
(e.g. Sales teams on lead quantity/quality; Creative team on ad assets; Brand Marketing
team on messaging/positioning, etc.)
- Execute CRO (conversion rate optimization) and website initiatives to increase inbound
revenue and deal pipeline
- Execute additional special projects as needed to drive growth (e.g. referral program,
website rebuild, affiliate partnerships, etc.)
- Report on performance and communicate w/ leadership on KPIs, OKRs, forecasts, etc.
- Launch content assets and publish content on our website to support inbound visibility /
brand awareness (in partnership with Creative/Content team)


Qualifications

- 3-5+ years of demand generation experience at a high-growth technology startup or
well-established company
- Player/Coach mentality. Must be able to 1. Execute at a high level and take projects from
start to finish; and 2. Lead a growing team as we scale
- Self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build successful
relationships and partnerships across the organizational structure
- Functional excellence in Marketing Technology and ability to use software tools to
improve performance
- SaaS experience preferred

- Execute special projects:

- Support tradeshow enhancements (tradeshow apps / attribution / reporting /

strategy / follow-ups / process / materials / etc.) [before Head of Sales
Development]
- Tradeshow data "initial cleanup": make sure data/tagging/naming conventions is
accurate [Before Head of Sales Development]
- Build an automated growth machine
- Launch & manage the performance of referral program (& affiliates)
- Make our website sticky (CRO etc.)
- Optimize lead nurturing workflows


- 60 Day:
- Create (outbound) & capture (inbound) demand
- Launch content that converts /SEO - web content / lead magnets / assets
- Scale Ads profitably (media+ creative + destination/web + nurturing)
- Revamp our website for conversion
- Launch reviews program



- 90 Day+

- Create marketing dept. foundation for data-driven decisions (more dashboards
for above marketing initiatives)
- Supporting ABM initiatives
- Launch partnerships & other alternative revenue opportunities
- + Job Description (i.e. Manage core Demand Generation functions end-to-end
(e.g. Performance & Growth Marketing, ABM, Marketing Automation, Marketing, Content, CRO)
