Job Description:

We are looking for an SQL Data Analyst who is passionate about cutting-edge cloud data storage and publication solutions with out-of-the-box thinking to be part of our pioneering 5G OSS team. Candidates should have a background with preferable experience in optimization of SQL workloads on AWS serverless and Lake House architectures data. This position, deals with large scale datasets. Responsibilities :

Work within Xfinity 5G OSS Architecture and Development teams as well as data consumers to build end to end AWS data storage and publication environments integrating with on-premises and hosted applications for various 5G RAN. Your primary responsibility would be to support the data engineers and data consumers in building efficient schemas and SQL queries of millions of network fault, performance and configuration data. Ideally you should have hands-on experience as an SQL analyst in two or more areas as outlined below.

SQL query optimization

Data Warehouses, Data Lakes & Data Lake House environments

Data Schema development optimized for determined workload profiles

Support business analysts in the certation of agile epics and stories for submission to backlog

Work with 5G OSS architecture team to develop optimal access mechanisms to published data In this role you will;

Be responsible for optimization of SQL queries used to consume data from the AWS Storage & Publication environment

Document repeatable data access practices for efficient access of published datasets

Work with the Principal OSS Architects in defining and developing data access specifications

Practice agile methodology and rapid development to bring solutions incrementally

Minimum qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field

4-6 years of hands-on experience working as SQL analyst or similar role

Demonstrable experience with big data SQL query development and query optimization

Demonstrable experience with AWS Big Data services (Redshift, Glue, S3, Athena, etc )

Work in an agile environment, ability to write epics and stories and familiar with tools such as Confluence and Jira

Preferred qualifications:

AWS certified Architect and Developer

Data Lake House SQL Schema Design

Expertise in large-scale distributed systems

Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
