Job Description

Job Brief:

Expanding Plaintiff Personal Injury firm seeking Paralegal for immediate hire with 2-6 years of experience in Plaintiff or Defense Personal Injury Litigation from medical collection, complaint filing, service, discovery through trial. The candidate should be an excellent communicator, high energy and extremely motivated and able to handle multiple party discovery on motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction, third party work injury, wrongful death, and all other Plaintiff personal injury cases. This is a high volume position and candidate should desire high volume work.

The candidate should want to grow with an expanding and hard-working firm. This is an in office position candidate must be able to commute to downtown Chicago offices, however work from home offered over time with experience. Benefits offered include health, dental, vision, and 401k.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large volume of cases at various phases of the litigation lifecycle
  • Obtain and organize client medical records and bills
  • Draft routine motions, subpoenas and correspondence at direction of the attorney
  • Draft standard complaints, responses and discovery requests
  • Maintain all case related filings efficiently and accurately
  • Communicate with clients on status and as requested by the attorney.
  • Draft and follow up on standard letters/communications as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties (calendar deadlines, depositions, organize case files, draft letters, etc.).

Skills Required:

  • Candidate should have 2-6 years of experience in personal injury, discovery, and/or medical bill and record collection.
  • Excellent client communication skills via telephone and email platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Bilingual/Spanish-speaking preferred but not required

Job Structure, Compensation and Benefits:

This is an in office position candidate must be able to commute to downtown Chicago offices, however work from home offered over time with experience. Benefits offered include health, dental, vision, and 401k.  Compensation includes competitive salary and other performance related benefits.
