Job Description

We are looking for a Technical IT Project Manager to join our diverse team.

We are a growing team at a sustainable tech startup developing solutions for a systemic change towards a circular economy. Our focus is the textile industry, one of the biggest climate challenges. Our company unifies an international team of 20 people with interdisciplinary backgrounds in software engineering, textile, design, business and sustainability. Tasks

Your Role & Tasks

As a Technical IT Project Manager, you will work closely with the circular. fashion team but also in close collaboration with our research partners. This role contains a good mix of project management tasks (50%) and development within our backend system (50% )in cooperation with our software team.

Your tasks will include:

  • Represent and coordinate the activities of circular. fashion in several research and pilot projects with other partners to work on topics related to a Digital Product Passport and the circularity. ID
  • Coordinate and realize integrations (API) with partner organizations and their software systems
  • Project management of our running research and software development projects related to our sorting solutions using ID-based sorting, computer vision and spectroscopy as technology
  • Contribute to our vision and product strategy
  • Writing maintainable and elegant code that s easy to read and well documented
  • Working on new software as well as maintenance of existing software tools and databases where needs arise as the business requirements develop
  • Testing the software you write for reliability and robustness
  • Represent circular. fashion in standardization committees such as ISO and DIN to work on topics such as ontologies, taxonomy, data exchange protocols and similar

Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Project and partnership management skills
  • Experience with multiple programming languages, different kinds of infrastructure, MVC and other software engineering paradigms. Our current stack is Django/ Python with Vue.js, but as our future roadmap looks to be more distributed and API-centred, we re also looking to technologies such as TypeScript and GraphQL
  • Experience designing API-first applications and general experience designing software architecture
  • Experience with decentralized systems and IoT can be beneficial
  • Experience with interdisciplinary work and bridging between the technical and non-technical sides of a team
  • Open-minded, communicative, dedicated team player with a high sense of responsibility and ability to integrate with new teams quickly and adaptive to changing processes
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English

We are looking for a candidate who is available for at least 32hrs per week and can work remotely, but must be located in Germany.
