On behalf of a global, credit rating firm in Amsterdam, we are looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst.
Our client is a market leader within the Insurance sector and has multiple offices around the world. Given continued growth of the Amsterdam office, we are looking to hire an insurance specialist with specific Spanish language skills.
Responsibilities;
- Take responsibility for timely and high quality credit assessments on a portfolio of (re)insurers, as well as producing accurate and informative written publications to support the credit decision
- Regular interaction with senior management of (re)insurers and requirement to attend company meetings, with support from more senior colleagues, to obtain relevant information to support the credit assessment
- Conduct on-going surveillance of assigned portfolios and develop industry knowledge, including the identification of key trends and issues that may affect the assigned portfolio of (re)insurers
- Present analysis at rating committee, participate in rating committees of other analysts, and contribute to internal discussions regarding the state of the (re)insurance markets and rating issues
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in maths, economics, finance, business, accountancy or similar
- 2-6 years experience in the (re)insurance industry in the field of finance/ accounting/ credit analysis/ actuary/ audit/ internal audit
- Strong financial analysis skills as well as commercial/ stakeholder management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish is essential. French would be an additional benefit.
- An accountancy qualification and/or working knowledge of IFRS 17 would be a distinct advantage
