Our client is seeking to hire a Full-time Temporary nanny to care for their 7-month-old daughter.
Location: East York, Toronto (Gerrard St & Greenwood Ave)

Role Type: Temporary until September 2023
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8AM-5PM
Start Date: Jan 3rd
Compensation: $25 / hour
About The Family
The parents primary goals are to help their children to feel loved, safe and accepted. They work to strike the balance of letting their children make as many decisions as they can, while still making sure that their needs are being taken care of. The parents regularly work from home on a separate floor from where the nanny and baby will be. They also have a 3-year-old daughter who is in pre-school full-time. The nanny will not be responsible for the older daughter, but may be asked to support occasionally for daycare pick-ups or during school closures. Note that the family has a cat in the house.

To be successful in this role, the nanny should be responsible and punctual. The ideal nanny should enjoy being outside and active, as the family would like to have the daughter involved in daily activities outside the house (the parents will arrange).
Responsibilities
Provide complete care for the child in the employers home and perform all tasks related to the care of the child. Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which the children can thrive and develop.
- Support the girl with baby-led weaning, including making bottles and helping the child explore different foods.
- Take the child out for daily activities, such as play groups or baby music lessons
- Engage and play with the child
- Maintain a clean environment and tidy up areas common to the children
- Occasionally support with picking up the older child from preschool, or watching her when the school is closed

Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Proven child care experience with references.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- ECE certification or other training in childcare and development preferred
- Previous nanny experience preferred
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and up to date with flu shots
- Knowledge of French an asset
