Job Description

Skybound is seeking s proactive Sr. Accountant, Revenue & Inventory to join our team. This individual will need to be well-rounded with strong mechanical and technical knowledge of accounting and working with multiple entities & currencies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reconciling the general ledger accounts and handling the day-to-day accounting functions of the company. The individual must be well organized, flexible, and extremely detail oriented.

We are looking for someone energetic, resourceful and results driven.


Reports: This position will report to the Controller


Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with finance, sales and operations teams to ensure all Skybound revenue is recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Document, control, review, and improve policy and procedures departmental tasks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Accurately and efficiently review and approve invoices, cash receipt applications, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Deliver accurate, thorough, well-presented, and actionable ad-hoc analyses under restrictive time constraints
  • Prepare and/or review Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Variance Analyses to explain business dynamics that drive changes in Balance Sheet accounts
  • Prepare and/or review monthly Revenue Analyses to measure performance across all Business Lines
  • Drive timely collections of Receivables by communicating with customers and Sales & Marketing personnel
  • Monitor inventory transactions within organization, offsite warehouses locations and outside operations.
  • Review and manage daily reports supporting inventory control teams
  • Help coordinate and execute daily/weekly/quarterly cycle count program
  • Assist in developing appropriate inventory audits and reconciliations
  • Perform periodic internal audits in receiving, shipping and production areas, testing adherence to company defined policies and procedures
  • Review inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and either recommend corrective actions or enter transactions in inventory system
  • Assist Controller in coordinating month-end close and ensuring all deadlines are met

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Technical accounting knowledge with an understanding of US GAAP
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to leverage technology for efficient data gathering and analysis
  • Ability to manage deadlines and accurately process data under time limited restraints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with other departments, vendors, and upper management
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically Sage Intacct, a plus.
  • Ability to pivot and prioritize work
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and flexible work attitude
