One of Canada's leading Financial Service organisations is now looking for a passionate Junior Data Analyst to join their growing team to help deliver and achieve their long term data and analytics goals.
This will be a hybrid working arrangement split between home and office, based in Canada.
Knowledge of and Experience:
- Proven track record of delivering data analysis capabilities in a complex business environment.
- Knowledge in Business Intelligence Tools Power BI (preferred)
- Expertise in SQL technology (preferred)
- Previous commercial experience working in financial services (i.e. super funds, financial planning, custodian or general funds management).
- Change support for data governance and data management practises.
- Knowledge and expertise in understanding data modelling and data marts for data sourcing and storage
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills, familiarity with all MS Office products
- A highly analytical, collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
- Experience in working with agile methodologies for change delivery

Skills:
- Experience in implementing Data & Analytics enterprise change, with a proven track record of successful delivery, and commitment to quality outcomes
- Experience in implementing and operationally supporting metadata mgmt. data catalogue technology solutions and data lineage capabilities
- Knowledge of API integration knowledge for (REST, SOAP etc) and ETL tools, used for Data Integration with enterprise Data management platforms
- Building trusted working relationships with the organisation to advance how we manage data, and enable business insights for decision making
- Experience in leading analysis & requirements definition, functional design, testing, implementation, and user training.
- Good stakeholder management skills with a solid record of achievement in building sustainable business partnerships with strategic partners.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms
- Manage self - show drive and motivation, and a commitment to learning
- Influence and negotiate - gain consensus and commitment from others and resolve issues and conflicts
- Demonstrate accountability - be responsible for own actions, adhere to policy and process and be proactive to manage risk
