The Opportunity

The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for final acceptance of the trains by the Customer, manage documentation and coordinate activities to ensure that the quality of the final product is up to the highest standards.
The job requires to liaise with customers regarding product acceptance, reviews of specifications and modifications, also to report Quality concerns raised back to the applicable manufacturing plant.

Location: Wolverton

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage quality projects to meet specific requirements and satisfy customers. Participate in various improvement plans.
2. Be able to investigate and identify possible risks and to find technically strong solutions to them.
3. Work towards improving business processes to ensure high quality of products. Support projects by facilitating adequate communication with all stakeholders. Assist manufacturing with analysis and problem solving as required.
4. Conduct analysis to produce indicators, statistics, and presentations. Work to promote quality culture throughout the Company.
5. Ensure compliance with all UK HSE legislation and HSE Company policy and with customer standards.
6. Investigation and troubleshooting product or production issues.
7. Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
8. Plan and prepare customer inspections. Lead the quality inspections with and without the customer.
9. Ensure Quality s duties are reflected in project plan and ensure they get done in time.
10. Lead the everyday duties of CAF s quality inspectors on site, optimization the time and resources.
11. Lead the quality activities on the depot.

The Candidate

- Has a degree in Engineering.

- Has Strong Quality Systems knowledge.

- Has in-depth experience working in Quality in a similar industry such as transportation, manufacturing, aerospace etc..

- Excellent IT skills including experience of Microsoft packages including Excel. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

- Is organized, proactive and has good interpersonal skills

- Speaks fluent English and spanish.
