Job Description

Floor Coverings International of South Charlotte provides the BEST in-home flooring experience in North America and is a fast growing, turnkey flooring provider. We need a Commercial Marketing Associate with excellent communication skills, experience, and savvy to develop our brand by introducing our company as the best solution for any commercial flooring needs. You'll be working directly with me as a local owner and our small team to provide our clients with a great experience. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be self-motivated, an independent worker, a great communicator, highly organized, and enjoy a team atmosphere. We are looking for an individual who isn’t afraid to work hard, including some evenings and weekends. The right individual will play a key part in the expansion of this company and will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop and grow relationships with customers for repeat business and referrals
  • Research and identify key targets in designated commercial market segments (verticals)
  • Cold call new potential clients.
  • Follow up through maintenance of existing clients to deliver marketing products-services
  • Be assertive in bringing in RFP’s
  • Set up and participate in local chapters of industry relevant networking groups.
  • Help support and maintain social media and LinkedIn
  • Always protect the assets of the company and brand.
  • Facilitate presentations of high impact events like Lunch and Learns and After-Hours Social
  • events, and or other similar types of events for clients.
  • Driving is required to visit, acquire, cold call, and to maintain relationships.
  • Maintain a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain the company property including vehicle maintenance appropriately.
  • Maintain tracking of sales, goals and commissions and submit ahead of deadline as necessary
  • Participate and exhibit in Trade Shows, Professional trade organizations, networking events and meetings. Some travel required for this.
  • Participate in on-going personal development

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and insurance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in marketing or related field
  • B2B Sales and Marketing experience required
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Goal-oriented and motivated
  • Organized and detail-oriented
