We are Looking for a Floating Site Director that will support all Site Directors and Assistant Directors in providing a high-quality program and to provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected.

Pay: $38,480-$47,216

Educational Requirements: Must meet one of the 3 listed below
1. AA in ECE and 2 years of teaching experience.
2. AA in a related field, 18 ECE credits, and 2 years of teaching experience.
3.
AA or BA in unrelated field, 30 ECE credits, and 2 years of teaching experience

Other Requirements:

1. Knowledgeable of the child's physical, emotional and developmental patterns.

2. Sensitivity to the individual and group needs of children.

A joyful approach to the child.

3. Evidence of emotional maturity and stability.

4. Sufficient maturity and good judgment to function in a crisis situation.

5. Ability to create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline.

6. Sensitive to the individual needs of parents.

7. Ability to communicate with parents effectively.

8. Logical decision-making ability

9. Good customer service

10. Physical abilities required include the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses, to speak and be understood under normal circumstances, to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, and to use arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without a corrective device to accomplish the job, including evacuation of the building during emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the welfare, health, and safety of the children in the group.
  • Expected to prepare a warm, safe and affectionate environment that is orderly, clean, and appealing and permits the child to grow and explore.
  • Monitor communication between teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Assure overall appearance, organization, and cleanliness of the center.
  • Assist with the organization and purchase of supplies and activities for the programs.
  • Be knowledgeable in the use and implementation of program systems including but not limited to Kangarootime, CRM, ADP, and Google Drive.
  • Supervise and train staff (Counselors, Jr. Counselors, and Volunteers) on the implementation of lesson plans, activities, and events.
  • Assume camp counselor responsibilities for the summer programming timeframe.
  • Be knowledgeable with laws, state child regulations, and local regulatory agencies.
