We are Looking for a Lead Teacher that will support all Site Directors and Assistant Directors in providing a high-quality program and to provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged, and individuality is respected.

**MULTIPLE LOCATIONS AVAILABLE: JEFFERSONVILLE, PHOENIXVILLE, AND COLLEGEVILLE**

Pay range: $14.50-$20/hr

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma (required)
  • 2 years experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • AA in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
Other Requirements:

1. Knowledgeable of the child's physical, emotional and developmental patterns.

2. Sensitivity to the individual and group needs of children.

A joyful approach to the child.

3. Evidence of emotional maturity and stability.

4. Sufficient maturity and good judgment to function in a crisis situation.

5. Ability to create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline.

6. Sensitive to the individual needs of parents.

7. Ability to communicate with parents effectively.

8. Logical decision-making ability

9. Good customer service

10. Physical abilities required include the ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid, the ability to see and read newsprint with or without corrective lenses, to speak and be understood under normal circumstances, to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, and to use arms, hands, legs, and feet with or without a corrective device to accomplish the job, including evacuation of the building during emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the welfare, health, and safety of the children in the group.
  • Maintain a warm, safe and affectionate environment that is orderly, clean, and appealing.
  • Plan weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline and themes.
  • Establish and maintain good communication with parents through formal and informal means.
  • Maintain order in all areas where children are present.
  • Use appropriate and positive discipline.
  • Implement and model the behavior of positive reinforcement and redirection.
  • Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior using the behavior report forms.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials for Magic Memories, as well as advise the director of the need for supplies, materials, and new equipment.
  • Be knowledgeable and follow all the requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), including food serving requirements, counting, and documentation.
  • Assist with training for program systems including but not limited to Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), Kangarootime, Teaching Strategies, CRM, ADP, Emails, and Google Drive.
