Part Time Windows Helpdesk Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Windows support technician to join our Helpdesk team in Huddersfield. You will already have a strong proven interest in all things computer related, such as a hobby in coding or working with computers.
The role involves speaking with customers over the phone so you must be confident on the phone and with communication in general.

You will handle 1st and 2nd line queries for Windows 10 and 11 desktops + Windows servers.

Responsibilities

• Taking support desk phone calls
• Supporting Windows 10 and 11 desktops and Windows Server 2012 and 2019
• Working from a ticketing system and accurately logging all work
• Correctly prioritising your ticket flow and escalating where necessary
• Some coding in bash, batch and maybe python
• Maintaining a good customer relationship for all support queries

Essential

• Clear communication skills
• Ability to solve problems and work independently
• Minimum 1 year experience with Windows support
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Helpdesk environment
• Basic grasp of the Linux command line
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server
• Be able to take direction and follow procedures.
• Highly-motivated can show initiative and results.
