Monday to Friday Day Shift
My client offers:
Salary range is 35-40k (DOE)
Working hours are 37.5 per week - 8:30-17:00 Monday Thursday and 08:30-14:00 Friday
25 days annual leave + bank holidays
4% ER contribution 5% EE contribution
Free onsite parking
CSP after 6 months service increasing with LOS
The main purpose of the Project Engineer is to support with new product development, were looking for a candidate with a creative and innovate mindset, who can manage multiple projects from design to manufacture.
Main Responsibilities of the Project Engineer role:
Lead and support NPD and NPI projects from design to manufacture
Create and maintain all project documentation such as Risk Registers and Change Control Logs
Liaise with customers and suppliers to manage expectations around project tasks and provide regular updates (customer and supplier liaison may be outside of standard working pattern due to different time-zones)
Influence and motivate multi-disciplined teams to achieve project deadlines
Lead and support other business improvement projects using LEAN techniques i.e., Six Sigma
Manage project and departmental budgets
Contribute to the reduction of scrap or defected material
Design jigs, fixtures and tooling for new and existing products
Key Skills & Experience of the Project Engineer:
Qualified to a minimum of HNC in an Engineering discipline
A form of Project Management qualification. e.g., AMP PMQ or PRINCE2 is desirable
Previous experience in managing projects
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Strong background around process and continuous improvements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be self-motivated, good time management and able to work autonomously, reporting to Engineering Manager when required
Previous experience of new line set up and line balancing
Computer literacy including Office packages Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience in Solidworks or other CAD software
