Backend Developer (w/ PHP and .Net)

• Responsible for developing solutions depending on business and project requirements
  
• Writing clean and testable code that is maintainable, scalable, and reusable
  
• Ensures that code released is of high quality and fits the standards set by the team
  
• Work with Agile / Scrum framework to deliver projects adhering to best practices
  
• Provide status updates to assigned projects and to communicate blockers for efficient delivery
  
• Seeks to clarify and challenge ideas that are beneficial to the team
  
• Work with the development team to share ideas and improve the status quo
  
• Build reusable packages that can be rolled out to our different brand sites
  
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications
  
• Write technical documentations that are helpful to the team in the long run
  
• Keep existing technical and architectural documents updated and provide ideas to improve existing approaches
  
• Responsible for ensuring features are released from development to production
  
• Mentor and provide guidance to more junior engineers of the team
  
• Design API interfaces that will be sustainable and usable in the long run
  
• Review other colleagues code to ensure that best practices are maintained and code is production-ready
  

Requirements

• Strong professional development experience with PHP and C#.Net
  
• Strong knowledge of HTTP protocols and RESTful APIs - Strong PHP knowledge and web frameworks; preferably, Laravel / Lumen - Basic understanding of frontend technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  
• Knowledge of design principles for creating a scalable system
  
• Grasp of Continuous Integration / Delivery pipelines and practices
  
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git and web-platforms such as GitLab
  
• Knowledge of Docker containers and orchestration technologies is a plus
  
• AWS/Azure experience is a plus
  
• Good communication skills and can explain technical topics to non-technical colleagues
  
• Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills
