Your Role
- Responsible for daily support of glassware cleaning, autoclaving, preventative maintenance tasks in support of GxP operations, vendor equipment, RO water systems, incubator and cold storage unit maintenance.
- Responsible for timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies
- Clean, dry, and store glassware for laboratory use
- Assist in Vendor Management
- Clean and maintain glassware areas
- Learn simple laboratory operations
- Interact with peers and clients in manufacturing, maintenance, analytical labs and contracted services
- Perform general labor duties and may work in a variety of locations and jobs.
- General routine maintenance of cold storage units, incubators, and water systems.
- Defrosts and De-icing of freezers.
- Complete various quality system and CMMS documentation
- Ensure work is completed in a safe manner according to planning and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production while complying with GMP, SOP, CFR and client regulations
- Participate in On-Call rotations for after-hours facility and manufacturing support and work outside established shift hours upon short notice, such as evenings and weekends
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to operate a computer with requisite typing skills and spend a significant portion of work hours viewing a computer screen
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach to locate, retrieve, and organize materials for extended periods
- Laboratory environment - possible exposure to chemical, biological, or other hazardous substances
- Requires working in a laboratory environment and wearing personnel protective equipment (PPE) which may include wearing a lab coat and safety glasses for long periods of time
- Ability to gain insight on customer needs and identify opportunities
- Be able to build and deliver solutions meeting customer expectations
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to travel is preferred
