Job Description

Position Title: Training Content Specialist

Pay Rate: $31.25/hr (Max pay rate)
Assignment Length: 4 months Estimated hours per week: 40 hours Work Schedule: Mon-Friday; 8-5pm
Assignment Location (Address): Houston, TX
*Will they work remotely initially or start onsite on day one? Remote option for day-to-day work, initial days should be onsite for meetings and training/introductions Disqualifiers / Red Flags on Resume: No experience with delivering training or poor experience in computer learning/training


Job Description: See below. The Training Content Developer creates the content and materials that enable both instructor-led, and self-learning training on topics related to HSEQ Digital Systems. This role will be responsible for developing content for user training and communication primarily focused on the Intelex, LIMS, and NWA platforms. The role may expand to include other HSEQ training and communication opportunities depending on performance of the incumbent and department priority.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Content Developer creates the content and materials that enable both instructor-led, and self-learning training on topics related to HSEQ Digital Systems. Within this role, the incumbent will have an opportunity to impact the entire organization as the content they develop will be provided as the educational material for all operations and corporate employees within North America and made available globally.

As a member of the HSEQ Systems team, the Training Content Developer is responsible for developing content for user training and communication primarily focused on the Intelex, LIMS, and NWA platforms. The role may expand to include other HSEQ training and communication opportunities depending on performance of the incumbent and department priority.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and document Job Aides, Training Presentations, and Walkthrough Videos for Intelex and other HSEQ Digital Systems
  • Work with the HSEQ Systems team to gain proficiency on the Intelex, LIMS, and NWA platforms to the degree necessary to develop training material
  • Provide digital voice over and narration for pre-recorded training videos. (English required, French bilingual is a plus)
  • Assist team members with their communication and deployment of training materials
  • Identify gaps in System training materials and offer solutions to eliminate those gaps
  • Adapt communication style to different situations and audiences. Routinely demonstrates active listening skills to understand audience viewpoints
  • Drive safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of work.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience or formal Certification in Google Slides and/or MS PowerPoint
  • 1-3 years of experience, or formal Certification in Technical Communication and/or Digital Training Content development for non-technical audiences
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in developing or delivering training content for a population with diverse age and experience backgrounds

  • Strong skills in organization, as well as written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated experience in communication development and delivery
  • Must be comfortable in a small collaborative team, and willing to learn through peer-to-peer mentorship and challenge
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of a large organization.
