Job Description

The equipment superintendent reports to the Machinery and Equipment department. They are responsible for the implementation and respect of preventive maintenance programs and the repairs of our equipment and ensures to achieve the objectives planned for his sector of activity while controlling costs in accordance with the directives, as well as ISO and health and safety program procedures. They supervise a group of approximately 15 employees. Responsibilities - Ensures the coordination of equipment maintenance and repairs within established deadlines in order to optimize site productivity. - Supervises work assignments (labor, equipment, and materials) in order to achieve production objectives while respecting the quality and health and safety standards of the maintenance department. - Manages their staff by ensuring that activities are carried out in a safe and healthy environment and that policies and procedures are followed. - Ensures communication between site operations and mechanical service. - Participates in hiring processes and coordinates he work schedules of maintenance employees. - Ensures that equipment complies with applicable laws and standards. - Works with existing business systems and processes of the department and is able to use and integrate new technologies. - Flexibility to travel to different sites and provinces within short notice.

Requirements

- Bilingual - mechanical or electrical certification or any equivalent; - minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervision position; - knowledge of construction regulations; - knowledge of Microsoft office suite, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Projects.
- Planning and organization skills; - Able to work under pressure; - Interpersonal relationships; - Discretion and professionalism; - High availability and mobility.
