Sr. App Developer

PROJECT SUMMARY:

MA DPH is looking for a Senior Tableau Consultant to provide Tableau server environment operational and maintenance support. This role will also have interaction with various users groups to develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and publishing to internal and external Tableau Server environments. This role is also responsible to conduct knowledge sharing and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in Tableau server administration, developing data visualization/dashboards in Tableau
• Expertise with full life-cycle of dashboard development
• Experience working with user teams to gather requirements, and design and develop reports based on requirements.
• Experience providing support to users for dashboard development
• Experience training users with varying skill-sets

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Tableau dashboard visualization development using best practices
• Tableau Server Administration, Software Upgrades, Security Patch updates, Performance Tunning
• KPI metric development and presentation
• Must have experience with calculated fields and dynamic data suppression
• ADA Compliance of dashboards
• Tableau Desktop and Prep
• Publishing dashboards in Tableau server.
• Provide dashboard development training
• Must be able to work independently
• Effective communication skills- written and oral

Additional Skills/Knowledge

• Tableau Certification or equivalent
• Degree in computer science or comparable background/experience is a plus
