In search of a Mold Process Technician to work in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment. The right individual will work some overtime as needed, and work well in a team environment.
This is a direct permanent hire.
The Mold Setter / Process Technician handles maintaining the production of injection molded parts on multiple machines at optimal cycles, while meeting quality standards and labor efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Set molds for required production run
Set head tooling for required mold
Calibrate head tooling
Load programs
Set up work cell for production run
Bring and remove all job tools and fixtures to work cell before and after production run
Preventative maintenance on molds after production run
Preventative maintenance on tooling after production run
Clean out clamp area before set up is complete
Clean and organize mold area
Fix damaged holes in clamp sections (If unable to fix, a work order must be placed in the system)
Clean mold setter trucks and tooling carts
Identify bad water and hydraulic lines, water fittings, bolts, washers and clamps
Place any work orders for identified issue or damage to mold, head tooling, etc.
Skid and band any molds to be shipped out for transport
Requirements
5+ years of experience in injection molding and mold pm/repair
Experience in setting up and launching 1st piece production
ID key characteristics of types of resin and their performance under various process parameters
Processing experience with both open and closed loop systems
Basic understanding of mold construction including types of material and mechanical function
RJG or Paulson training strongly preferred
