About You

In your role as Credit & Structured Lending Expert you will contribute to the further development and enhancement of Sygnum s lending offering and ensure proper monitoring and management of associated risk together with the rest of the team. Thereby you will act as a strong link between the Sales, Risk and Finance departments, determining new product designs and commercialization as well as the realization and implementation.

Tasks

• Work with senior management to jointly shape and implement the strategy for Sygnum s credit and lending activities and product landscape.
• Maintain and further develop existing credit and lending products related to digital assets.
• Drive the design and implementation of new lending products addressing real client needs.
• Monitor and manage the overall risk of the loan portfolio and recommend actions to ensure continued compliance with our risk appetite.
• Analyze and optimize internal processes around credit and structured lending.
• Develop funding strategy for the loan book, including building relationship with external investors (e.g., potential syndication participants).
• Recommend enhancements of our products and associated processes to provide great customer experience.
• Act as subject matter expert in client conversations, capable to understand our clients needs and propose creative solutions to address such needs.
• Actively contribute to achieving the business unit s quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Coach junior team members within the team.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Credit and Lending with a broad spectrum of exposure (products, processes, risk monitoring, risk management, etc.).
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with multiple types of stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Tech, Trading, Legal, Compliance and Operations) on designing new and enhancing existing credit products.
• Profound knowledge of financial products related to credit, such as securities lending, Lombard loans, asset financing, derivatives.
• Excellent client management skills to build trust and ongoing business relationships.
• Strong analytical skills to ask the right questions, elicit, dissect, organize, translate, and cross reference requirements and solve complex problems.
• Very strong entrepreneurial drive and ability to thrive in a scale-up environment
