The pharmaceutical and biotech industry has been an innovation engine and its products have significantly improved humanity's quality of life for decades. However, this historically highly profitable industry is now confronted with rising R&D costs and lower success rates in bringing new medicines to market.

Our mission is to enable pharma and biotech companies to tackle these challenges and free up more capital to develop transformative medicine and treatments for underserved patients. Through the power of AI, we aim to support pharmaceutical and biotech companies in making their R&D process more efficient and thereby improving patients lives.

We have identified several business ideas and are now looking for an ambitious Founder-Associate to join the team and help turn one of the ideas into a fast-growing company. This position will support the project from start to finish from validating use cases, building the MVP, hiring the first team, and raising venture capital to scale the organization from a dozen to hundreds of talented people. The venture you will be working for is part of the world s first AI Venture Studio, Merantix. Already today, AI automates complex, multi-level processes that used to be dependent on human decision-making, resulting in automation and higher accuracy. Through our unique incubation platform, seed financing, and exceptional teams of visionary entrepreneurs and engineers, we transfer world-leading research into products that will change existing and create new industries. Your role

In order to build outstanding companies with the help of a distinguished team, state-of-the-art machine learning technology as well as a comprehensive AI company-building framework, we seek exceptional entrepreneurial minds that have the ambition to make an impact. As a founders associate, you will be working side by side with the founder, to ideate and validate cases in the pharma and biotech space and ultimately build the company from the ground up. Once the case is ripe for incubation, you will have the chance of joining the team full-time as one of the first hires with equity options.

• Conducting research around the market and the competitive landscape
• Ping-Ponging with expert stakeholders to validate and calibrate the idea
• Conceptualizing our vision of building billion-dollar companies when formulating the business model and go-to-market approach
• Building an MVP
• Identifying talent and building the initial team
• Initiating and maintaining relationships with potential investors and partners

Your profile

We define ourselves by a culture of ownership and cooperation. We are looking for driven, capable, visionary, and prudent talents with proven track records of personal, academic, and professional achievement.

• You have an undergraduate degree from a top- tier university, MA/MSc/MBA/PhD is a plus;
• You have a strong interest in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry demonstrated via professional experience or coursework;
• You have gained professional experience in an impactful entrepreneurial environment, at a leading technology company, or in management consultancy/venture capital;
• You have superb communication (verbal and written English; German would be a plus) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams;
• You have a long- held and demonstrated interest in technology, both personally and professionally;
• You have strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize appropriately and effectively;
• You are available to work with us for a minimum of 6 months at a time.

This role will be based in Berlin, however, occasional remote working is possible.
