Lead Data Architect (f/m/d)

Tasks

• You oversee the development and maintenance of holistic technical infrastructures in cooperation with data engineering and data analysis both for our company and in customer projects.
• You support data engineers in the integration and preparation of data for further use.
• You model complex and distributed data sets in a modern data architecture - both in-house and for customers.
• You bridge the gap between business and tech by working with data product owners and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into data models.
• You are one of the key drivers in the company's evolution into a truly data-driven organization.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of modern data infrastructures and technologies in the areas of data integration, data storage and modelling, data reporting and usage in production environments (e.g. machine learning applications).
• Excellent knowledge of data integration concepts and tools (custom ETLs / ELTS as well as integration tools (e.g. Talend, Fivetran, Matillion, etc.).
• Rich experience with various database technologies; traditional (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), distributed computing (e.g. Hadoop) as well as cloud data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake).
• Experience with the creation of reporting and its corresponding tools, e.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Qlik.
• Ability to model data in SQL and Python.
• Studies in business, economics or in technical subject are an advantage.
• Knowledge of e-commerce, digital marketing, and digital business models in general.
• Excellent English language skills, German is an advantage.
