Network Engineer (HYBRID)

Overview:

Our client is hiring for an experienced Network Engineer hybrid position in the Atlanta area. This role will be the main point of contact for all network related items and administrator of the company's monitoring tools. This is a full-time position that will require over-time as needed.

Responsibilities:

Architect, deploy and maintain networks for company data centers and offices.

Documents, configures, and analyzes network peripherals and performance using company tools.

Designs and maintains company network maps.

Works with the software development department on development and testing.

Monitors system performance and data integrity.

Maintains and documents all firewall rules and policies.

Helps with various other IT tasks as needed

Qualifications:

AS/BS MIS, Computer Information Systems or related field.

5+ years of experience working and maintaining firewalls, network switches, computer hardware and software.

Advanced networking knowledge in Cisco, Dell, or Sophos and strong knowledge of network monitoring tools such as WhatsUp, OpManager or Solarwinds.

Knowledge of data center networking and virtual environments, preferable Hyper-V.

Proficient with Windows technology.

Knowledge of Linux distributions- Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat.

Strong understanding of VFX technologies.
