The Minnesota Department of Information Technologies Services in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS), Office of Communications, is seeking a Project Manager for a website redesign that will upgrade, update, and modernize the DPS public website to use modern design and functionality that meets the needs and expectations of Minnesotans. The current website does not offer a mobile-friendly user experience and has not had a comprehensive design update since it went live about 11 years ago.
At a high level, the resource will provide leadership, guidance, and coordination for the implementation of the redesign of the DPS Website. Other DPS PM work may be assigned if time is available.

Sample Tasks:
- Provide leadership and coordination for Website redevelopment project
- Provide strategic vision and thinking with focus on outcomes
- Create clear and attainable project/program objectives
- Create clear and attainable project/program requirements
- Manage program/project constraints of cost, time and scope
- Form close links with team members and stakeholders
- Provide knowledge transfer
Minimum Qualifications:
- Seven years of experience in project manager role
- One engagement with government lasting more than 6 months
Desired Skills:
- At least one engagement as project manager for web redesign project
- Experience with Drupal and/or Tridion platforms
- Strong leadership experience and skills
- Ability to direct & manage program/project development from beginning to end
- Ability to define program/project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders
- Ability to estimate program/project resource requirements and participants needed to achieve goals including changes during where necessary
- Ability to identify and manage program/project dependencies and critical path
- Ability to establish program/project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and tracking such milestones and deliverables
- Ability to manage changes in program/project scope, identify potential crises or issues, and devise contingency plans as appropriate
- Ability to communicate program/project plans, expectations, updates, progress, issues, and successes in a timely & clear fashion when necessary
- Ability to see the big picture while tending to all of the details
- PMP Certification
Mode of Interview:
- The State will conduct interviews. The State reserves the right to remove a resource from consideration if the resource is unavailable for interview as requested by the State. Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
Project Schedule:
- Anticipated Start Date 12/15/2022
- Anticipated End Date 12/14/2024
- The State retains the option to extend the work order in increments determined by the State.
Remote or on-site?
- The work is expected to be done as hybrid; the contractor will be required to work from 445 Minnesota Street, St. Paul, MN 55101 at times.
