Job Description
This is a really exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant/ Semi-Senior to join a fast growing and fantastic independent, certified chartered accountancy practice based in Crowborough on either a full time, or part time basis. You will be offered study support if required and a progressive position where you will have the opportunity to progress in your career.

The practice provides clients with year-end accounts, tax compliance & advisory, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and payroll services. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all areas of accounting and take on as much responsibility as you feel comfortable with. They have a very relaxed and close knit, team orientated culture, where there is the opportunity for flexible hours, hybrid working, or part-time hours if needs be.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts
- Prepare corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Prepare monthly or quarterly bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
Requirements
- For this Accounts Assistant / Semi senior opportunity in Crowborugh, you may be studenty he AAT or ACCA or be qualified by experience.
- You will have a background in an accountancy practice, with at least 1-3 years or more experience preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- You will be looking for a challenging, long term career move, at Accounts Assistant/ Semi Senior level, within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of certified chartered accountants, offering progression and career development.

You may be an AAT qualified technician, or you may have developed your career through experience to date only and be looking to build further on this, in a hands on role. Most importantly, as a key requirement to be considered for this role and firm, you will have developed experience across any of bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, CIS, payroll etc within an accountancy practice firm of any size, as a Bookkeeper. You will ideally have at least three years experience, developed across any of these areas, within an accounting firm / accountancy practice environment, as a key requirement. Part-time, 3 days a week working arrangements.
