Job Description

Our client is a major player in the furniture industry in Nigeria, specializing in the sale of luxury home and office furniture, interior design, sanitary wares, and makeovers for residential and commercial spaces in Nigeria.

The Company is in search of a Warehouse Officer with experience in the luxury furniture industry in Nigeria for both residential and commercial spaces.

Job Summary: The Warehouse Officer is responsible for planning and implementing warehouse processes, operations and technology. He is also responsible for developing plans to monitor storage utilization levels, managing warehouse facilities, reviewing operational quality and efficiency of warehouse storage and layout plans. The ideal candidate must be analytical and logical, he is required to explore solutions and analyze the feasibility of plans. He is also expected to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement processes and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keeping accurate inventory of companys products in the warehouse.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
  • Check & verify customer invoices, payment receipts and issue waybills.
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
  • Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor/designated authority.
  • Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packaged, arranged and labeled for delivery.
  • Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
  • Mandatory physical stock taking on monthly basis and report to designated authority.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized daily
  • Assisting management in reordering process.

Requirements

  • HND/BSC in any related discipline
  • Professional qualification in related fields such as AAT, ATS is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-3years experience in retail, inventory management.
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management software such as Quickbook, Sage, Netsuite, Fishbowl & Zoho inventory is mandatory.
  • Exceptional understanding of inventory management practices such as ABC analysis and Cycle counting.
  • Good analytical, statistical & logistical thinking abilities.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
