Established, Global, Manufacturer and Distributor of consumer durable, hard goods is seeking a Director of HR to be based in the Huntsville, Alabama area.
The Director, Human Resources is responsible for:
- Aligning people strategies with the business objectives of the Division
- Leading key HR processes including talent development, performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, and compensation planning
- Acting as the Human Resources Business Partner for the leadership team
- Providing strategic leadership on human resources-related issues to ensure a high-performance culture and effective management of human capital
- Leading and developing the HR team that supports the Division.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 10 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist function
- 5 years experience in a leadership role
- Experience with unions and contract negotiations. (Experience must have been in the past 3 years, must have union negotiation experience)
- Strong ability to influence and coach leaders, including Director-level functional leaders
HOW TO STAND OUT:
- Masters degree in human resources management or equivalent
- Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP, SPHR etc.)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with lean/six sigma concepts
- Experience in preparation of Affirmative Action Plans, working visa acquisitions, and continuous improvement programs
- 8-10 years experience in a HR leadership role
- 8-10 years experience in a unionized environment
- Lead negotiation experience
