Art Teacher / Adult Class Tutor

Art Teacher / Adult Class Tutor £120 - £130 per day

HOURS: 2 x classes every Thursday

LOCATION: Fulmer SL3

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The position of Art Teacher plays a vital role in the running of the ColourWheel art classes. Providing teaching to adult beginners and improvers. Classes are restricted to 20 students in each morning, afternoon and evening session.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Effective and clear communicator with strong classroom presence
· Possess excellent subject knowledge
· Intelligent, energetic and convincing
· Ability to proactively sell and promote the school, courses and events to prospective students
· Ability to be courteous and helpful under all circumstances
· Curriculum development
· Excellent organisation skills
· Problem solving in the absence of the Partner
· Possess at least two years’ experience in a similar role

MAJOR DUTIES:

The duties below represent the main tasks undertaken by the Teacher
· Plan and deliver a variety of entertaining and engaging art classes using different mediums
· Build strong relationships with students
· Ensure that pupils are taught in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
· Giving feedback on student’s progress at the end of each class and course
· Implementing all the policies for The Colour Wheel Art Class
· Keep all teaching materials up to date
