Job Description

At Ribbon Biolabs we are taking synthetic biology to the next level!

Ribbon Biolabs, a multi-awarded young biotech company with locations in Vienna, Austria and Klosterneuburg (outskirts of Vienna), is working on developing the next technological wave of error-proof DNA synthesis. With its approach, Ribbon Biolabs is developing a cost-efficient platform to produce long and complex DNA molecules, thereby enabling a new generation of biopharmaceutical processes and other synthetic biology products.

As a company with ambitious growth plans, we are currently seeking to expand our team with a motivated and proactive Key Account Manager (m/f/d).

Tasks

  • Put Customers First: respond efficiently and promptly to customer requests
  • Build relationships at multiple levels and establish technical credibility with accounts
  • Evaluate and implement a CRM or ERP system. Work closely together with relevant stakeholders within Ribbon
  • Organize and maintain CRM system
  • Develop specific account growth strategy, account mapping and penetration
  • Research accounts to drive new business
  • Provide forecasting and reporting as required
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify potential leads and generate interest
  • Develop a sales strategy by territory, e.g. direct sales or via distributors
  • Receive customer referrals from users of Ribbon Biolabs products

Requirements

  • Degrees in Life Sciences or related subjects are beneficial
  • Sales experience welcomed, preferably in consumables, or kit business serving academic, industrial, government, and/or pharmaceutical accounts
  • Experience with organizing and maintaining CRM information
  • Ability to properly identify and qualify opportunities, customer-driven
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Hands-on experience with methods in molecular biology via prior work experience and/or education is a benefit
  • Excellent time management, presentation and active listening skills
  • Knowledge of the Ribbon Biolabs product portfolio or product portfolio of similar nature is considered an advantage
  • Driven, motivated, and an outstanding teammate
  • You show flexibility to remote-working patterns and have the ability to travel when necessary (up to 60%).
  • You will honor commitments and strive for a positive professional relationship with customers, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Business fluent in German and English

Job type: Full time (40 h per week).

Location: HQ Ribbon Biolabs, 1110 Vienna.
