Job Description
This is a remote position.
This is a fully remote position (within the EU) and a 6-12 months project for freelance/contractors.
On behalf of my client, I am looking for an experienced Senior QA Test Engineer (Automation & Manual) to join their growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for QA related tasks across multiple projects and will report to the Quality Manager while also working alongside the business analysis, design, and development teams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automation test frameworks for functional and accessibility testing.
- Plan, design and implement tests to ensure full coverage across multiple projects and clients.
- Integrate automated tests with development pipelines.
- Execute tests on websites & mobile apps.
- Report, document, track and escalate issues.
- Provide feedback on user experience to our design team.
- Work closely with internal and external development teams.
- Attend meetings and provide regular updates to team leads and Quality Manager.
- Contribute to the enhancement of QA processes.
- Evaluate test tools and make recommendations.
Requirements
Required Skills
- 6+ years of software testing experience.
- Experience in building automation test frameworks from scratch.
- Working experience with tools like Selenium, Browserstack, axe-core
- Testing Frameworks Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit
- Experience preparing a test matrix and test cases; manual and automation.
- Experience testing websites, web apps & hybrid mobile applications.
- Familiarity with APIs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good approach to test execution with the ability to analyze and communicate results, raise defects, and participate in further investigation and troubleshooting activities.
- Ability to adjust to project changes or transfers.
- Initiative for managing workload and identifying priorities
- Experience working within an Agile environment.
Desirable Skills
- ISTQB Knowledge of quality and testing methods at all levels within SDLC, STLC, ATLC.
- Experience using JIRA, DevOps or similar.
- Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr or similar.
- Languages: Java, C#
- Experience with mobile app testing tools such as Appium.
- Experience with snapshot tools such as Applitools, Percy, Ghost Inspector.
- Experience integrating with CI pipelines through DevOps, Bamboo, Bitbucket, GitHub.
A minimum of 5-years experience in Frontend Development Highly skilled in Javascript(ES6), CSS3 AND HTML5 Experience with frontend frameworks, (React is an advantage) Experience with frontend testing tools (React testing library, Jest an advantage) Experience working with RESTful APIs. Experience with JS task managers such as Grunt, Gulp, Webpack etc. Experience using version control with git Experience with NextJS or Node JS is an advantage Understanding of web, SEO & accessibility standards Comfortable with UX principles & specifications Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. A strong eye for detail, initiative and a good team working mentality are also required. Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Can adapt to new skills and challenges in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel to client sites as necessary Familiarity with Figma
