Job Description

Internship - Engineering/Scientist, AmbientAir, and Industrial Monitoring Products andServices


Clean Air Engineering (CleanAir) is a leading global environmental engineering and consulting company that has been in business since 1972.CleanAir s Advanced Monitoring Services team located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has openings for Engineering and Science Internships beginning in the Spring, and Summer of 2023.


Interns in CleanAir s Advanced Monitoring Solutions (AMS) Group are asked to contribute to the development and application of air quality monitoring systems for various industries including power generation, oil and gas, chemical processing, and refining. Each internship provides exposure to the real-world application of advanced air quality measurement technologies, an opportunity for hands-on field experience working with experienced engineers and scientists, and a responsibility to contribute through specific project tasks. Tasks are based on educational background and the individual s skill set.


The position will involve the following key responsibilities:


  • Manufacturing support, engineering field work, and quality assurance of next-generation ambient air and emissions monitoring systems or network of systems
  • Data analysis and review in support of project reportingParticipation in the development of new products and services
  • Skill-specific project tasks involving building and servicing air quality monitoring systems
  • Quality assurance testing of various air measurement equipment

Qualifications:


  • Undergraduate Engineering or Science Degree Program
  • 0-2 years of experience if applicableElectrical engineering skills are a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
