Research Assistant (m/f/d) in the division of communications systems (Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %)
starting at the 01st of February in 2023. The position is initially limited to three years and includes the opportunity of graduating with a doctoral degree.
Scope of work
Collaboration in an international research project with industrial partners in the field of
communication technology
Implementation of wireless transmission schemes for 5G and 6G as Software Defined Radio (e.g. GNU Radio, Matlab)
Implementation of OFDM and related algorithms (e.g. MIMO, beamforming, synchronization)
Link-level and system-level simulations of the 5G transmission standards NR and DECT-2020

You have completed a scientific university degree in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics with a master's degree. Profound knowledge of signal processing theory as well as aspects of practical implementation is expected, additional knowledge of wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth as well as basic knowledge of
mobile radio standards (e.g. LTE) are preferable. Experience with software development in Matlab, Python or C/C++ are also preferable. Good communication skills in German and English, both oral and written, are required.
