Job Description

Dr. Dominguez focuses on more than sports related issues. His specialty extends to arthroscopic, and minimally invasive surgical techniques geared to minimize pain and expedite recovery. Dr. Dominguez holds the distinction of being the only Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon in Brevard County to perform Autologous Treatment for general Orthopaedic problems does not always include surgery. Steroid Injections are common treatments for inflammation in any joint or tendon, as well as viscosupplementaion for knee arthritis, PRP & Stem Cell therapy, Physical therapy and other pain management techniques. Your doctor will discuss your options and help you decide what s best for you.

Tasks

  • Collaborate with patient doctors for referrals, notes, and medical history
  • Review and evaluate patient through tests, movements, and conversation
  • Create and implement treatment care plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Establish patient goals and benchmarks
  • Discuss patient s goalposts with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare team
  • Schedule exercises and therapies for patients
  • Observe and review patient progress
  • Assist and demonstrate proper stretches, techniques, exercise moves, and equipment uses
  • Educate patient family members, caretakers, or close friends on the patient's treatment plan
  • Recommend specialists to patients who need additional medical attention
  • Document patient medical progress and treatment; record notes to update medical conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
  • Certified and licensed to work in state by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
  • Two years of experience working in healthcare or physical rehabilitation setting
  • Encouraging to medical team and patients; able to mentor and lead
  • Able to perform CPR or additional emergency procedures if needed
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with a wide variety of patients, medical staff, and caregivers
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Compassionate and sensitive to patients' needs and concerns
