For our client, a fast growing Hotel Group with several hotels in Belgium, we are looking for a Reservations Manager that will be in charge of the Groups & Individual Reservations of the company and will support all properties in Belgium.
Position is based in Brussels HQ Office and the candidate will manage a team of 10 FTE.
Ideal candidate will be sales oriented, strategic thinker, flexible/adaptable and will have an entrepreneur mindest. It will also be important that the candidate has strong People Management skills and can communicate in French and English (Dutch a serious advantage).
This is a great opportunity for someone currently working as Groups & Events Manager at property level and looking at a growth in his/her career.
Sales responsibilities :
- Responsible for the sale and management of all booking enquiries (individuals + groups) for all hotels in Belgium
- Responsible for the qualification of leads
- Manages confidential contracts and agreements in collaboration with the sales team and the Hotel Managers
- Will work closely with the Sales & Revenue Management team
- Promotes and maintains good relations with PCOs, travel agents, airlines and corporate accounts
Administrative and operational responsibilities:
- Follows up on group files in respect of option dates, reminders, follow-up on partial or total cancellations with invoicing if necessary
- Is responsible for the encoding of bookings in the PMS (room breakdown, rooming-list, sales conditions, credit card, special enquiries,...)
- Prepares the group s information sheets necessary for operations and briefing all parties before the group s arrival
- Ensures the quality of stay of bookings and deals with customer complaints and requests in an efficient and professional manner in collaboration with the operational teams if necessary
Requirements
- You have at least 5 years of experience in the back office (expertise in the use of Opera software is a plus)
- You have a good knowledge of the office package (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- You can demonstrate experience with analysis, customer relations, collaboration and project management
- You have a commercial spirit and are a strong negotiator and argumentation force
- You are open to process changes when it is good for your organisation and you know how to translate these changes at an operational level
- Your communication skills are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Dutch a serious advantage.
