Job Description
TPF Recruitment are supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in central Maidstone who are looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their experienced team across a general accounts and tax role.
As an Accounts and Tax Manager, you will report directly to the partner and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to significantly sized groups. Dependent on your interests, there will be an opportunity to support the partner with more technical advisory project work, but this isnt essential. You will have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. This is a great position with an excellent firm who promote an excellent work life balance. Full time or part-time applicants will be considered.
You will be responsible for:
- Prepare annual statutory accounts, corporation, partnership and personal tax returns
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns
- Managing your client portfolio and client relations
- Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
- Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required
Requirements
- You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice.
- You will have worked as a Team Leader/ Client Manager/ Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT.
