Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate as a key resource in the Microsoft Windows Server OS Upgrade Project.
- Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, hardware, and system management tools.
- Build, support, and maintain lab and production environments including creation and maintenance of related documentation.
- Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues in production and test environments to ensure availability and security of store systems.
- Perform technical training and create training documentation for support teams & end users.
- Promote excellent customer service and effective response times.
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly administrative tasks including monitoring and responding to server events, ensuring data integrity, gathering server statistics, and performing general maintenance tasks.
- Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Work from Westbury, NY office.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Information Technology,
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the core Microsoft Windows OS internals (including Hyper-V), services, and skills to troubleshoot complex systems, networking, and security problems within the platform ecosystem.
- Expertise with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 specifically OS upgrades are a must.
- Experience with automation & scripting such as PowerShell.
- Experience with OS Software Image management & deployment.
- Experience deploying retail POS systems Servers, PCs, Routers & Switches is a plus.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Mobile Device Management.
- Ability to set up lab/test environments in an organized, easily maintainable fashion.
- Demonstrated technical skill, logic and ability in troubleshooting hardware, software, or network.
- Familiarity with Networking concepts (patching, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, remote access)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 collaborative and cloud-based services and applications.
- Familiarity with IT Security principles including Antivirus, Malware protection and forensics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong Customer Service perspective.
- Team player with strong work ethic.
- Excellent follow-through and ability to deal with escalated issues.
- Retail work experience & Microsoft certifications are a plus.
