IT Operations Manager (all genders) in Berlin

Your Tasks

We are looking for an experienced, German-speaking IT Operations / IT Logistics Manager full-time to strengthen our IT team on-site in Berlin. With a lot of passion and commitment, you will manage our IT hardware and service provider processes and be the central point of contact for these topics.

The Digital Career Institute was born as an initiative to integrate refugees into the digital job market. Today, we are committed to training anyone interested in pursuing a career in tech, no matter your experience, background, or age. We provide everything our students need to succeed, including computer equipment, language courses, and if necessary, even mobile internet.

Your responsibilities include:

• You will be responsible for managing the IT hardware process that our course participants and employees can always rely on.
• On the IT side, you will manage day-to-day operations, such as receiving and shipping as well as preparing and processing hardware equipment (laptops with Windows and MacOS).
• Within this scope, you also plan, commission, and manage our IT service partners.
• In the future, you will ensure a smooth inventory and return of IT equipment.
• As a contact person for IT inquiries, you are actively in contact with your colleagues in the sales team and in class management, and also coordinate a small team of working students.
• You help us with the permanent expansion of our knowledge base (Confluence) and answer/document your solutions in the ticket system (JIRA).

Your Skills

• You have at least two years of professional experience in IT Operations and have already worked with Microsoft Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• You have successfully completed a degree or an apprenticeship in the IT field, or have completed a comparable career path.
• IT support and process management are not new to you, and you bring experience in IT logistics, such as setting up work devices, and basic networking knowledge.
• You also have experience with cloud providers like Google, Atlassian, and Slack.
• You speak German on a native level, and at best you possess a good command of English.
• Independence and a sense of responsibility characterize you just as much as reliability and initiative.
• Your sense of humor rounds out your profile, as well as your strong service-minded approach.
