Job Description

Position z/OS IMS Systems Programmer PRIORITY

Duration 12+ months

Location Remote

Visa USC, GC

Client Kyndryl

Rate $75-80 C2C

We need a z/OS IMS Systems Programmer (not an applications programmer that uses the IMS database)who will work remotely and whose primary responsibility will include the following:

Ongoing maintenance (install, patching, upgrades, administration, etc.,) of the mainframe z/OS operating system, IMS Subsystem and related software products.

The candidate will be required to provide Production off-hour coverage (if necessary) and support periodic weekend implementations.

Experience / Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate must have extensive experience with z/OS and IMS

Working knowledge of DB2 and CICS is a big plus

10+ years of experience working SMP/E, TSO, JCL, basic IBM utilities (IDCAMS, etc.) program product installations and Unix System Services.

Experience in using monitoring tools such as MAINVIEW/DB2, MAINVEIW/IMS and/or OMEGAMON

Working with an enterprise-wide, large-scale implementation

Excellent Communications skills (Oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills are required
